Intro

This market tracks where Bitcoin's price will settle at the start of 2027, measured using the CF Benchmarks cryptocurrency index rather than spot exchange rates. On Kalshi, the leading outcome—Bitcoin trading between $75,000 and $79,999 on January 1, 2027—stands at 10.9%, with a secondary price band of $80,000 to $84,999 at 10.1%. Resolution uses the sixty-second average of CF Benchmarks' BRTI index at midnight EST on January 1, 2027. Watch the final days of 2026 for Bitcoin's positioning as the year closes and the resolution timestamp approaches.

Kalshi

Resolution is based on the simple average of sixty consecutive seconds of CF Benchmarks' BRTI (Bitcoin Real Time Index) prices collected immediately before 12:00 AM EST on January 1, 2027. Each outcome corresponds to a specific price range, with ranges spanning $5,000 increments from below $20,000 to above $150,000. The official price is calculated as the mean of these 60 one-second RTI snapshots, not prices from consumer-facing exchanges. Exactly one outcome will resolve based on where the calculated average falls within the defined ranges.
