Description

This event predicts how high the S&P 500 index will rise during 2026. Each outcome represents a different price ceiling, with resolution based on whether the index reaches or exceeds that level at any point during the year.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the S&P 500 index value between January 1, 2026 and before January 1, 2027. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the index value reaches or exceeds its specified threshold (7399.99, 7599.99, 7799.99, 7999.99, 8199.99, 8399.99, 8599.99, 8799.99, or 8999.99) at any point during this period. The outcomes are nested such that if a higher threshold is reached, all lower thresholds are also satisfied. Resolution is based on the actual index value reaching the specified level, not on closing prices alone.
