Description

Private companies periodically go public through initial public offerings (IPOs). This market tracks whether specific high-profile private companies will confirm their IPO before the end of 2026. An IPO is considered confirmed once certain regulatory or exchange milestones are reached, even if trading does not begin until after the deadline.

Kalshi

An IPO is confirmed if any of the following occurs before January 1, 2027: the SEC declares the company's Form S-1 effective, the IPO is priced, or a securities exchange assigns a ticker symbol. Once any of these events occurs, the market immediately resolves to Yes, even if the company does not begin trading until after January 1, 2027. The confirmation of an IPO through any of these three mechanisms triggers resolution regardless of subsequent delays in trading commencement.
