Description
This market tracks confirmed human cases of Ebola disease officially reported in various countries during 2026. Only laboratory-confirmed cases count; suspected, probable, or presumptive cases do not qualify. Animal cases are excluded, and cases must be confirmed within the specified country (though imported cases diagnosed there do count).

For each country listed, a confirmed human case of Ebola disease officially reported before January 1, 2027 resolves that country's outcome to Yes. Only laboratory-confirmed cases qualify; suspected, probable, or presumptive cases do not count. Animal cases are excluded from consideration. A case must be confirmed within the specified country to qualify—a citizen of that country diagnosed elsewhere does not count, but imported cases diagnosed within the country do count. Resolution is based on the date of official confirmation, not the date of symptom onset. Cases confirmed on or after January 1, 2027 do not qualify, regardless of when infection occurred. Each country outcome resolves independently based on whether any confirmed case is officially reported there during the specified timeframe.
